Our rivers can handle seven times as many transport movements as currently take place on water.

the total nitrogen deposition of inland waterway transport is only 1%, while ships are jointly responsible for a transport market share of as much as 40%. Waterborne transport is therefore also of interest to shippers who are considering more sustainable solutions for transporting their goods.
